I’m very pleased to have started writing an article about the collaborative installation Glide, produced by three of the best artists in my hometown of Townsville: Jo Lankester, Michelle Hall and Robert Crispe.
This article will feature in Imprint Journal in June 2015. It’s my first arts writing job for the year (besides program and lecture writing) and I’ve just sent off 14 questions to each of the artists to help shape the article.
I’m interested to uncover how collaborations are perceived, how they are practically achieved and what they provide individual artists. I am also questioning whether printmaking requires collaborations with other disciplines, in order to remain relevant in the contemporary art milieu.
