teaching and lectures

Alex Christopher has been a Sessional Teacher at the School of Creative Arts, James Cook University since 2011. Using knowledge developed in Art History, Arts Administration and over ten years in the field of the creative industries, Alex brings warmth and generosity and a multidisciplinary and collaborative focus to her approach to teaching. Alex’s aims are to develop each creative artist to be more mindful and aware of their place, processes and practices, and also expose students to the challenges and opportunities of working in the sector.

Alex has been seminal in developing the programming for these subjects and assessment pieces, and has conducted all marking for each assessment. Student groups have ranged from 65-125 students.
